…is one of my least favorite phrases. However, it is Festivus so I must air my grievances. Anyway, in times like these I’ve heard something to the effect of if there isn’t a job for you, then you must create it. So I’m creating my dream job. Here it is: puppy petter and pie eater. It’s rough work, but someone has to do it. And seriously, making up your own job is genius (Heeeeey, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, & the guy who invented the Christmas tree shaker).
Is it bad that I don’t really know what my dream job would be? Given my first attempt in the work world was a bust and I just got done with a grad program that would lead me to my dream job, I’m hesitant to define what it might be. I can say that my dream job involves helping people in some capacity. I can probably get more specific and say that I would be helping people achieve some sort of goal as that is what energizes and motivates me.
I mean, I think I could maybe be a talk show host because I love hearing people’s stories. Maybe I could be a baby holder because that is the best feeling ever, but I think I would get the most enjoyment from being a puppy petter/pie eater.
