…Because that’s a word. And I’m super behind.
June 8: What are your favorite decorative items/pieces of furniture/household features? via Kristen
We moved very recently into a space that’s about 3 times the size of anywhere else we’ve ever lived. We actually have a DINING room! What?! We so didn’t have a dining room table, but thanks to Craigslist procured a little gem on the cheap. I’m in a very DIY phase of my life (thanks, Pinterest) and the table was a bit 80s looking, so I decided to spruce it up. Generally, my DIY capabilities are minimal, but this actually turned out beautifully and I am super proud of it. We even got some chairs that I plan to paint whenever I get around to it soon. I can’t wait to have friends and family over for dinner!
June 9: What skill have you learned in the past year that you are proud of? via Bethany
Surfacey skill: poaching eggs. Delicious, impressive, and not hard aka my favorite kinds of things to cook.
Real life skill: Being able to adapt. Plan A, B, and C fell through? Cool. I’ve got the rest of the alphabet in my back pocket. Bring it on, universe.
June 10: What was your hardest parenting or partner moment? via Dana
I could go on about the challenges I’m having with my pekingese at the moment, but I won’t. However, if you ever decide or happen to get a pekingese, it’s like having a constant two year old. Not to downplay the parenting of human children, but bring it on (but not until I’m ready!!) because I at least know what to do with children. Pekingeses are an enigma.

The engima who thinks she’s in her crate because she’s behind it’s open door. You baffle me, Tina Fey.
Crap. Guess I got into that. Back to serious life. Hardest partner moment. Without delving too far into things, it’s been two really challenging years for different reasons. Big fat life transitions which comes with a lot of emotion and not always being on the same page. It’s been hard, but we got through it and are better individually and together for it.
June 11: If you were to play hooky from work today, what would you do instead? via Krissy
Sleep. I’ve been tired since 1998.
June 12: What was the best decision you ever made? via Niki
Niki, you will like this one. Best decision I’ve ever made was going to Michigan State University. For real. From meeting my best friends, having the life experiences I’ve been able to have, none of it was possible with out my beautiful alma mater. GO GREEN!

Isn’t she gorgeous?

June 13: What was your favorite childhood stuffed animal or toy? Do you still have it? Okay, admit it, do you still sleep with it sometimes? via Kassie
Elizabeth the bear, a gift from my godmother when I was born, was my homegirl. She resides at my mom and dad’s house, likely in the “grandchildren” box. Yes, that’s a thing. It’s existed since I was eight at least. I asked my mom what if I wanted to be a nun and not have kids and she laughed.
I’m participating in #ReverbBroads12. Dooooo it.
