June 8: What are your favorite decorative items/pieces of furniture/household features? via Kristen

We moved very recently into a space that’s about 3 times the size of anywhere else we’ve ever lived. We actually have a DINING room! What?! We so didn’t have a dining room table, but thanks to Craigslist procured a little gem on the cheap. I’m in a very DIY phase of my life (thanks, Pinterest) and the table was a bit 80s looking, so I decided to spruce it up. Generally, my DIY capabilities are minimal, but this actually turned out beautifully and I am super proud of it. We even got some chairs that I plan to paint whenever I get around to it soon. I can’t wait to have friends and family over for dinner!

“Ooh, that’s a good one!” is what I said when I read today’s prompt. I always say if I could have, I would have majored in spelling and useless trivia. It’s true. I love both very much. However, I’m not sure how either would translate into fulfilling careers not involving game shows or being the old kid at the spelling bees.
