…Because that’s a word. And I’m super behind.
June 8: What are your favorite decorative items/pieces of furniture/household features? via Kristen
We moved very recently into a space that’s about 3 times the size of anywhere else we’ve ever lived. We actually have a DINING room! What?! We so didn’t have a dining room table, but thanks to Craigslist procured a little gem on the cheap. I’m in a very DIY phase of my life (thanks, Pinterest) and the table was a bit 80s looking, so I decided to spruce it up. Generally, my DIY capabilities are minimal, but this actually turned out beautifully and I am super proud of it. We even got some chairs that I plan to paint
whenever I get around to it soon. I can’t wait to have friends and family over for dinner!
Almost finished in this pic, but you get the idea.
Reverb Broads prompt for December 21, 2011: If you returned (or went, if you’ve never been) to college to study anything you want, what would you major in, and why? via Matt (who has my favorite blog name)
“Ooh, that’s a good one!” is what I said when I read today’s prompt. I always say if I could have, I would have majored in spelling and useless trivia. It’s true. I love both very much. However, I’m not sure how either would translate into fulfilling careers not involving game shows or being the old kid at the spelling bees.
I’m participating in #ReverbBroads11, a month of blog prompts promised to be silly and reflective. Today’s prompt is: How did you become more of a grown-up this year? Or did you pull a Peter Pan and stubbornly remain childlike? via Bethany at bethanyactually.com
This makes me think of the
Pussycat Dolls Shirley Temple song:
I think I may have danced to this song as a kid. Sorry I’m not sorry for getting it stuck in your head.
