…is one of my least favorite phrases. However, it is Festivus so I must air my grievances. Anyway, in times like these I’ve heard something to the effect of if there isn’t a job for you, then you must create it. So I’m creating my dream job. Here it is: puppy petter and pie eater. It’s rough work, but someone has to do it. And seriously, making up your own job is genius (Heeeeey, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, & the guy who invented the Christmas tree shaker).

Today I subbed in a third grade class and was reminded why writers write: for PIE. Don’t remember this lovely little acronym? PIE stands for persuade, inform, and entertain. I suppose, at the very core, that’s why we blog.
